Vintage Ornament Christmas Wreath Holiday Traditional Glamorous Gold 16
Handmade by me, this fun kitsch wreath is made from (primarily) vintage ornaments, vintage garland/tinsel on a foam wreath frame. I called this one “Gold Memories”. It measures about 15″-16″ diameter to outside edge and is about 5 thick. This wreath size takes approx. 50+ ornaments to complete with a “full” look. Please note that these are glued with a heavy duty high heat glue and they are fairly stable when complete as I try to connect each ornament to one another for stability. With that said, any type of glue can be susceptible to weather and humidity and jarring. These wreaths are recommended for indoor use only. I suggest that before hanging, you always do a test and check the solidity of each ornament. Check for any excess wiggle or looseness and re-tack anything that feels hinky. These ornament wreaths are a neat way to repurpose old and forgotten ornaments, they are easier to store than single ornaments and they can be a great new tradition and heirloom for your home! Please note that these are made after collecting ornaments for a long time from many different estate sales and often times “newer and old” get mixed. I love the look of old, used ornaments. In general, I like the patinas and scratches on the old ornaments best, they tell a story. But sometimes to make something “fit” I have to use something in my stash which I know is newish. I estimate that 60% of the ornaments used in any piece are 1960s or earlier, 30% are 1970s to 1980s and 10% are 1990s or newer. You can generally tell age and maker by looking at the top hangers and I like to position the ornaments with the tops showing whenever I can because then they tell a story also! Most of the items that I sell are vintage, used and loved- they are RARELY going to be perfect. You may consider something a problem that I have not even considered as a defect. I strive to take high quality pictures from all sides of the item which is the BEST description of any item and I do my best to highlight any notable defects.
